Chocolate Berry Biscuits.
(Hullaballoos, I'm going to call them, because it's way more exciting.)
This is my last Adventures in Baking post for awhile, I think. It's been a really nice four weeks, so it makes it an even bigger shame that I burned the first batch of these biscuits. Oh, well.
Ingredients class photo.
Combine 125g butter, 1 egg, 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence in a bowl and blend it up with some kind of blendy device that's not a blender.
In two batches, stir in 1 teaspoon of bicarb soda, 1/4 cup plain flour, 1/2? cup srf and 1/3 cup cocoa.
Add 90g coarsely chopped dark chocolate and 125g frozen berries. This is the delicious part. The frozen berries make the mixture almost taste like some kind of delicious non-icecream icecream. It's worth just making the recipe up to this point because it's really fucking tasty.
BLURRY ACTION MIXING SHOT
Blop tablespoonfuls of your delicious globs of non-icecream deliciousness on baking paper. Oh and prehead the oven to 180 at the start. I always forget to write that. Anyway, these globs are too big. They will take too long to cook and you'll burn them ....
BUT THAT'S OKAY. Because you'll learn your lesson and your next batch will look like this! They take like 12 minutes! Don't leave them for 24! 24 minutes = bad! YER DONE!
