Adventures in Baking, Vol II

I made another batch of biscuits. These are remarkably less interesting than the Honey Jumbles; they were Mum and Dad's request, so oh well. Haven't tried them yet.

I can't remember what they were called so I'm calling them BISCUITS OF OATY CARROTY GOODNESS.

The obligatory ingredient group shot. Note the lampooning carrot, making a damn fool of itself. Well. I'll fix his little red wagon. >>

Combine 125g butter, half a cup of close-packed brown sugar and 1 egg yolk. Then beat it. Just beat it. Woo!

Stir in half a cup of that smart ass carrot, roughly grated. Not so fucking smart now, is he?!

Sift in a cup and a half of plain flour, half a teaspoon of baking soda and half teaspoon of cinnamon. God knows what mine will taste like; I overdid the milk in a later step and added more dry ingredients. So idek what I really have in there.

Add half a cup of oats. Take a close-up photograph of your work and nearly drop the camera in the mixture. Trust me, everything will taste better if you do this!

Add enough milk to make a firm dough. This is the part I overdid, probably because I was stuffing around with a camera. But! I just added MOAR DRY INGREDIENTS!

Roll a heaped teaspoon of mixture into a ball, flatten a bit on top, and put on a baking tray with about 5cm between each delicious squishy ball of carroty oaty goodness.

Bake for 10-15 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 180c. Cool on a tray. YER DONE.

Now, for further lols, I screenshotted this. Photobucket's redesigned their page. For reasons of assfuckery and irritation, things are tough to upload on my iPad, so I've taken to uploading pictures on the Photobucket app, then going into the site on Safari to retrieve the link. It's annoying. LJ app seems to go down a lot, so it's not a reliable way of making posts. Anyway, so I uploaded my pics on the app, went into the site on Safari ... and was confronted by this lovely welcome message!

ROFL. My guess is that, hundreds of years ago when I registered for Photobucket (seriously, it's gotta be 8 or 10ish) I didn't want to use my real name. I'm a sweet girl.
